Elevating women in leadership

Empowering our colleagues to be their best is a priority at Maximus, and we recently hosted our first women in leadership event.

The event was designed to provide inspiration and tools for women in our business to reach their development goals and to activate their leadership careers.

It aimed to address barriers to women gaining senior roles, creating actions to support leadership progression.

Attendees heard from inspirational business leaders, including Anne Altman, Co-Founder and CEO of social impact enterprise Everyone Matters and a Maximus director.

This event was led by MaxWomen, one of our employee networks, which aims to support female colleagues to excel in our business, no matter their background or position.

Penny Arnold, MaxWomen Chair, commented:

“Supporting the professional development of female colleagues is something I am passionate about. The Elevating Women in Leadership event aimed to support and enable women in our organisation to succeed in their careers.

“As an organisation, we are committed to providing the right support to everyone to flourish. We do this by addressing development gaps, providing additional opportunities and levelling the playing field.”

Creating an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive is extremely important to our business. Other employee networks open to our colleagues include MaxPride, MaxAbility, MaxFaith, MaxCarers and MaxCulture.
