Appointed as a Trustee: March 2016

Foundation role: Suzie is a Trustee and represents the Assessments Division. Her key duties as a Trustee are: to support and encourage fundraising across the business, to attend and make cheque presentations and make key decisions on the Foundation. Suzie has been involved in fundraising over the years completing 5kms and a 10km for a local cancer charity which is close to her heart. She also supports several animal charities and is particularly passionate about rescue dogs.

Suzie has extensive experience in clinical management and leadership both within Maximus and also in previous roles. She joined the DWP contract in 2006 as one of the first nurses to become a disability analyst and has been trained in all aspects of this work during her time as a Healthcare Practitioner. In 2007 Suzie became the Nurse Team Leader for Glasgow utilising her leadership skills to build and support a team of over 60 nurses. She became the National Lead Healthcare Practitioner in 2011, joining the Clinical Standards Team and taking on a broader role supporting our nurse team and managers across the country. In 2016 Suzie moved into the Senior Clinical Standards Team as Professional Standards Lead and Lead Nurse, with this title now being Head of Nursing and Professional Standards. Suzie is an expert in Clinical Governance and Safeguarding which she is incredibly passionate about and also works with her team to drive a quality culture across the business

Suzie has been a Registered Nurse since 1993 and holds a management qualification as well as having undertaken the Harvard Clinical Leadership Programme

Hobbies and interests: Suzie is interested in music and comedy, attending concerts when she can and is also an avid reader. She enjoys time with friends and family and loves to cook for people

Other appointments or memberships: Suzie is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and is also a member of the Society of Occupational Medicine. She has been a proud trustee for the Maximus Foundation since 2016 and is also a board member for our colleague groups including MaxWomen and MaxPride
